Evans Pullstring

Wednesday, August 10th, 2005

The topic of Evans Pullstrings came up recently at the Clarence White Forum.

I decided to post the following picture of a true Evans guitar that I found back in 2003.

I found this guitar at a music store up in the North East. The guitar had a butchered bridge on it at the time, so you couldn’t even try the bender out. I bought it knowing that it would take little work to turn it into a great piece. I had Bill Crook put a new neck on it, and Peter Florance wound a fantastic humbucker for it. Its a wonderful guitar, with a strong seventies vibe due to its butcher-block body.
